Version 3.5 crashes.

Unread postby spinvfx » Thu Jun 08, 2017 9:18 pm

We are running Clarisse 3.5 on Linux and it is consistently crashing every time we open a file.
It doesn't crash immediately after opening the file but as soon as we try to do something as simple as navigate the menu or change cameras it crashes.
For the record, version 3.0 is running OK and we are using it with the same files without any problems.

Hi,

do you have the latest video driver? I experienced the similar fragile behaviour on CentOS, but after the nvidia driver update it is working, and seems more solid than on other platform.

Good point, I'm running the 375.39 nvidia driver for a K4200.
Will try 375.66 and let you know how it works.

I'm suffering similar issues. Crashes when saving or when instancing contexts.

I'm also using a K4200 on CentOS, driver 352.79. Will try updating , too.

Hi,

We have fixed this bug (about the instancing context) in the 3.5 RC2 (ID 6952). Which version of clarisse are you using?
