3.5 - Python and CentOS 7

Hi,

When I start Clarisse, always get this message:

00:00:05 Traceback (most recent call last):
00:00:05 File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
00:00:05 File "python/process_uv_bake.py", line 46, in <module>
00:00:05 import math, time
00:00:05 ImportError: /usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-dynload/math.so: undefined symbol: PyFloat_Type
00:00:05

There is also a QWERT shortcut breakdown, so I should use the icons on the toolbar for transform tools. These are problems since the first Daedalus, but it was not enoughly annoying to do a feedback, and I guess the python version mismach is the problem, and I should have the latest.

CentOS 7.3 (1611) with python 2.7.5

System update tells nothing to do (why?), so I started to manually update with the source:
./configure
make
... and tried to:
make install (+ some other magic words which I cannot remember)
with special settings to install into a custom place, but it does not work. I think the simple <make install> is not a good idea, because overwriting an repository installed older version can generate inexpected results. Or is it ok?

... not the version mismatch is the problem, or should I use different than the newest 2.7.13?
I get the same errors + the alembic export widow is blank.

However I've found the solution to have a portable version of python:

Code: Select all
./configure --prefix=/this/is/the/path/replace/to/your/destination
make
make altinstall

Path prefixes of the variables in clarisse.env should be replaced to the new one respectively.

Hello,

We've not reproduced your issue. It seems that the issue comes from your math's library. We'll keep your informed.

Hi,

I`ve tried with CentOS 6.9 live, but there was a general problem, no python at all (just the File>Quit menuitem etc...)

Thanks.
