Eroded Planet

Unread postby paq » Fri Mar 24, 2017 3:26 am

Hello,

There as mostly doodles/researchs to create some hires eroded planet/moon.
I created a little recipe in Houdini that let me slice vdb volume planets into 64 pieces, so I can up-res, mesh the volume and export the result.

Polycount is about 120M polys for the planet model.

Cheers.

So cool Paq!! I am doing a similar planet (not so broken, much more like Charon detected "cliff")
Impressive ambient and detail. Very nice.
