About Alembic Vertex Color Map !

Unread postby q1331504 » Fri Jun 16, 2017 9:13 pm

Hi friends,
I have a question.
I have a Maya file of vertex colors,
When I went from exporting the almbic file to clarisse, I found that clarisse didn't recognize the vertex colors in the file.
What other ways do I get clarisse to recognize vertex color channels?
I have two pictures. Please check
Is it clarisse? Please help me, thanks!

Hello,

Have you tried to use texture/extract_property ... the color map should be listed in the Property Name.
I think the Vertex Color node was created to extract color vertex from Zbrush .obj.

Thank you for answering my question, the way you said, I tried. But it still doesn't work. I have tested the way ZBrush exported obj. But my model vertex color is generated by the program, so I can't do it with ZBrush

Hi,

I see your color is black and white. Perhaps the color data are in the alpha channel. Try to add a reorder node after the extract property/vertex color map and set it to "aaaa".

Cheers ;)
