Camera animation tool, shot editing and real time rendering

Unread postby kentonia » Thu Apr 06, 2017 11:18 am

Hi

I have 3 issues I would like to bring up.

1. It would be nice to have a cool camera animation tool in clclarisse. One that can mimic real life cinematic motion/animation. I know one can bring in animation with alembic but that is already premade and since scene structure can significantly change or be entirely created in clarisse it would just be nice to have the ability to do some exciting camera moves. Reference case is the cinematic cameras in unreal engine4.

2. Talking about unreal engine. There is a wonderful feature called the sequencer (I think). You can literally create shots with different camera angles and sequence them together for a final scene sequence right there on one time line just like u have in a programe like premiere with even sound adding features or editing. The ability to do this on a time line gives more accuracy and flexibility.

3. Game engines and immersive archviz softwares have realtime rendering engines and that's so super. If clarisse can develop that kind of rendering engine with its capability to accept large polygon numbers. It would be the rendering software of choice for all.

Cheers.

Hi,

We plan to improve camera animation, but for now, for complex animations, you need to use exported camera.

We don't have this feature but you can use this tip if you really want a multishot sequence in your timeline:

A real-time path tracing engine handling quadrillion of polys! Yay, sure it will be the best (dream) choice for all :)! but the reason no one has done this is simply because current hardware isn't powerful enough.
Cheers,
