Triplanar mapping built into the default mapping methods

Unread postby square01 » Thu May 18, 2017 12:33 am

Hi,
thank you for having the triplanar node, is very useful,
one thing that annoys me about it, is that for a single texture/noise/map use I need to plug all the directions ( up/down/right/left/front/back ) and create one per use.
I would love to have it on the default mapping methods also together with planar/box/uv/ etc.

This would be really beneficial and would speed up workflows.

Thank you

Johnny

Hi,

Connecting the same map to all axis is the same as using a box projection.. so you already have it (minus the soft blend between axis). So you need a "blend" attribute to complement the actual box projection mode, am I right?

Thanks,

Hi,
Exactly!
If I'm given blend I will be able to get the same result .

Thank you
