IMPORTING GEOMETRY: HOW TO SEPARATE MODELS

Unread postby seanmorgan1962 » Wed Oct 09, 2019 12:29 pm

Hi,

Rookie question. I imported a kitbash set of buildings into Clarisse. How can I separate each building from the group? Must this be done prior to importing?

Cheers! :D

Hi,

Yes, you have to split them before importing in obj. A good way is to import them in a DCC package that read split obj (Maya for instance), then select all the objects and export them as Alembic.

Cheers ;)
