Opacity Map from speed Tree

Unread postby Aurelien29 » Mon Feb 04, 2019 10:14 pm

Hello,

I am released a speed tree mesh with maps and I don't know how to connect the opacity map in the standard material in clarisse. It's a black and white map.
When I plug the map file opacity in the opacity input in standard material, the result isn't that I expect.
Come you help me?

Thanks a lot

Hi and welcome :)

First verify how you load the texture.
If it is a regular "TextureMapFile" then use the "force luminance" option.
This will ensure all values will be driven by a single channel based on the luminance (or first channel)

If it is a "StreamedMapFile" file, you must use a "reorder" node and set its output like "r000"

Also opacity is not well suited for leafs, rather use the clip map part of the material assignment

This will clip the leaf shape much more effective, faster to render.

Exact, except for the reorder in which you have to set "rrrr" ;)
