Blending Matte and Physical Material

Unread postby pschloter » Fri Oct 09, 2020 1:30 am

How can one blend a matte material with a physical material based on a mask?
The multi-blend material and blend material seem to not allow a matte. Is there something equivalent that works?
Thanks.

Hi,

Just use an emitter instead of the matte material.

Cheers ;)

Thanks, Demian. What is the difference between the two (matte and emitter)? Does emitter light the rest of the scene?

Matte material is to create holdouts hence the alpha and the alpha mode: https://clarissewiki.com/4.0/_module_cl ... Matte.html
Emitter is a physical material emitting light
