What's new in Clarisse iFX 4.0 SP12:
New Features and Enhancements
Project Management
  • Additional improvements for Alembic reload in scenes with many objects and parenting, speeding up reloading times by several orders of magnitude. Now, Alembic objects will no longer trigger unnecessary scene graph updates if the reloaded objects have not changed. (#10795)

Bug Fixes
Project Management
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing images to be updated when modifying the scene after deactivating the matte objects group of a 3D Layer. (#11008)
  • Fixed a regression introduced in 4.0 SP9 that was preventing images to be updated when trying to undo the removal of a Group connected to a visibility attribute of a 3D Layer. (#11007)
  • Fixed a regression introduced in 4.0 SP11 that was preventing updates when removing a value from an attribute of type Reference. It was a source of many issues like, for instance, images that were not updated when removing objects from the scene. (#11000)
  • Fixed transmission in the Standard material that was giving incorrect results. (#10989)
  • Fixed several issues in the Render Cache that could lead to crashes, freezes and corrupted outputs. (#10880)

SDK Changes
  • Changed the way the version number is encoded in order to fix some issues and to support more cases.

The IX_BUILD_VERSION_NUMBER macro is now deprecated, IX_VERSION_NUMBER or IX_RELEASE_VERSION_NUMBER should be used instead (see their documentation for more detail).

The following macros are now represented as strings in order to avoid using ISOTROPIX_STR() macro each time we want to use them:

The ISOTROPIX_PACKAGE_VERSION_NUMBER macro doesn't exist anymore because it was meaningless, use ISOTROPIX_PACKAGE_BUILD_VERSION instead. (#11013)
  • Checking the equality between 2 different container classes in Python now works as expected: it checks the equality of their values instead of checking the equality of the objects themselves. (#10979)
  • Added missing Python bindings for the ParticleCloud class. (#11009)
