Hey guys,

I've had issue try to run Clarisse3 on both distro.

when running ./clarisse in a shell, I get licensing starting, then run the ple, then the splash screen comes up with registration happening quickly until it returns and print the follow error message in the terminal :

ImportError: No module named site

I tried to mess with clarisse.env and clarisse.bin

modifying the PYTHONHOME and/or PYTHONPATH

without any sucess.

I read a forum message about a following problem with Clarisse2 before and one of the dev replied about a broken installation, could that be the case?

Let me know if you need more info.

Cheers
Lucien

Hi,
This is due to a bad setup within pythonpath.
this is a PYTHONPATH content that works for us on Centos7:

Code: Select all
PYTHONPATH=/usr/lib64/python2.7:/usr/lib64/python2.7/plat-linux2:/usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-tk:/usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-old:/usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-dynload

About ubuntu, it should work with this:

Code: Select all
PYTHONPATH=/usr/lib64/python2.7:/usr/lib64/python2.7/plat-linux2:/usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-tk:/usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-old:/usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-dynload

Regards

My bad, on ubuntu the default python system path is that one:

Code: Select all
PYTHONPATH=/usr/lib/python2.7:/usr/lib/python2.7/plat-linux2:/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-dynload:/usr/lib/python2.7/lib-tk:/usr/lib/python2.7/lib2to3

This was read from ubuntu 16.04
