import error in python for logging

Unread postby easythrees » Sat May 05, 2018 9:19 pm

Hi there, in the Python script editor, when I try something simple like:

import logging

I get the following error:

---- SNIP ----
03:18:25 Traceback (most recent call last):
03:18:25 File "<string>", line 1, in <module>
03:18:25 File "c:\Python27\lib\logging\__init__.py", line 26, in <module>
03:18:25 import sys, os, time, cStringIO, traceback, warnings, weakref, collections
03:18:25 File "c:\Python27\lib\weakref.py", line 14, in <module>
03:18:25 from _weakref import (
03:18:25 ImportError: cannot import name _remove_dead_weakref
03:18:25
---- SNIP ----

I'm on Windows and I have Python 2.7 installed. Is there something I need to do here?

Hi,

This is a weird issue. We didn't succeed to reproduce it.
Could you try to run this command in a python interpreter with the same python (the one in `c:\Python27\`).
Maybe a fresh install of python could fix your issue.

I will try a fresh Python install. I should note that this error doesn't happen in the Python prompt for the Python installed at C:\Python27
