i made a geo which has a string attribute:"E:/sdfj/basecolormap.jpg"(a texture path),how can i link the path to mapfile note.
how can i get the string property by python ?
And i have find that the clarisse can read detail(Houdini detail attribute) attritube(int float int[] string),but can't get the string attribut on primtive and point

Alembic string properties cannot be extracted with the Extract Property node.
But you can use Python scripting. Check this other topic: viewtopic.php?p=22298#p22298

That's a bug in the forum: when you use the forum search it adds HTML tags inside the python code blocks in the result pages.
After doing a search related to scripting, when you find the post that you need, click on the post title link to load the result page without the search result highlighting.

Click on the link I gave you, it shouldn't have any HTML span tags.
