Finally took the time to finish this piece I started at least 2 years ago (with a lot of looooong breaks in between each working session) ! That's what you call taking your time.
Would have liked to push the 3D further, but I already spent too much time on it, and it needed to be finished. I was at a point where I was about to start it back from scratch as the assets I made 2 years ago were not up to my actual liking, and starting from the beginning would have been a dead end, so, after enjoying the wonderful "1917" from Sam Mendes, I decided to finish it quickly in 2D. Opened the scene back, added the amazing french soldiers from Albin Merle and painted over the render on Photoshop to finally call it a day.
