Hi,

Have you looked at the documentation. There are examples on how to get direct or indirect.

Regarding subtractions in LPE that's not possible. You just give tokens you are interested in.

Hi sam, thank you for your response.

I looked on the documentation (LPE in clarisse https://www.clarissewiki.com/4.0/using_ ... sions.html and OSL docs https://github.com/imageworks/OpenShadi ... xpressions) , and didnt found a option to do a separated sss (direct and indirect) only a option to render the entire sss (keyword W).

I found this option on arnold (sss_direct C<TD>L and sss_indirect C<TD>[DSVOB].*) but it dont work on clarisse.

Another question, where i can report bugs?

Thanks

It looks like in arnold SSS is through diffuse transmission event <TD>. In Clarisse SSS is identified in a specific token W. You have to replace <TD> by <W>

In Clarisse <TD> is backlighting.

So C<TD>L becomes C<W>L
And Clarisse and Arnold also handle Background event B differently (Clarisse considers it white).
You have to remove it
So C<TD>[DSVOB].* becomes C<W>[DSVO].* in Clarisse

I really apreciate your time and help Sam, now, i am going to the bug forum, because i can reconstruct one beauty that i had made rendering using the pbr, i was trying a workaround using the LPE, but, even with your help, its not look like i can solve with that.

See if you can help me again, i have a scene that i render using the pbr, but, when i try to reconstruct the beauty of this scene, i get a black border on the subsurface pass, everything looks fine with the subsurface direct + indirect pass, but when i multiply the output of the subsurface with subsurface_k this black border show up, i think its a bug on the code, and look like this pass have a -1 pixel on the edge

Do you think that is a good ideia to open a ticket on the bug reports, or its already know about this problem?
Have any workaround? like using the LPE (that didnt look like my pbr version of subsurface direct/indirect)

Thanks man

It's not a bug, you just aren't comping the pass the right way. Go to the unofficial discord you'll probably find help from other users.
