Hi,
This tutorial was not intended to be used for matte painting.
The occlusion option help you only to visualize the area you need to paint.
In fact you have many ways to get around this issue :
- generate the occlusion and dilate the alpha in photoshop or paint exactly what you need
- layer your scene and paint specific matte for each of them to avoid echoing
- use an intermediate camera with overscan to cover the full animation (still with proper layering)
In both of your example I will project a different image for the BG (further you are and more parallax you get) with the blend already done in your 2d software.
We will do later an in-depth tutorial for matte painting in Clarisse.
Cheers.
