rendering black

Unread postby jmatthes » Sun Jun 04, 2017 7:56 pm

Hey everyone,

I'm still learning Clarisse at the basic level and I've imported my object that I exported from maya.
The materials seemed to have come across pretty well with all the materials linked as far as I cans see but it's rendering a black silhouette and not sure why.

I've included screenshots where I can see all the material within the previs viewer but when I go to progressive/go to render, it generates the black silhouette, I added a cube to check if it's just lighting but doesn't seem to be the issue. I've tried looking at tutorials but can't really see whats different.

Thanks

Hi,

Try to check your 3dview options, most of the time when you import objects with materials, Clarisse create legacy shaders.
your renderer is by default a pathtracer for both the render engine and the 3dview.You need to switch to legacy or redo your shading with physical materials.

Cheers.
