Particle Tool help

Unread postby Germanobanano » Sun Jun 18, 2017 4:33 pm

When I erase particles, the brush erases through the whole pointcloud. Even when I select the support geometry in "SNAP TO SURFACE/Geometry Group".

Is there a way to force the brush to snap to the front facing polys of the support geometry?

How could you erase particles from one side of the sphere without erasing the ones on the other side?

thanks

Hi, Germano

Yes, you can force the eraser to snap the front facing polygons pressing "s" while erasing particles.
The " snap to surface " only works with "paint".

Cheers.

ah cool! thanks for that!

I'm having another problem now, thought I might keep it all in one topic:

the Geometries I have in my scatterer keep resetting their Id to "0". As soon as the scatterer gets deselected, the next time I select it, all it's geometries have an id of zero!

edit:

I see now. The id is taking from the list order. I was going crazy. Would be nice to see the id number, the "0" is abit misleading.

cheers!
