emitter gain passed 1000?

Unread postby bjoern » Fri May 04, 2018 8:47 am

I'm using the emitter shader as a mesh-light substitute. But the gain does not except higher values then 1000. And its too dark this way.
Is there a hack?

Hi Bjoern,

you could plug a Multiply in the emitter and set it to 1000 to increase the strength (1000*1000).

I did that, but the multiplier seems to have no effect passed the emitters Max value. Seems like it clamps passed 1000

Hey Bjoern,

so I checked and you need to change the "Sample Clamping" in your Raytracer to something higher (100 for example)
Cheers,
