I might be wrong - but once new emissive material is released we might be able to get rid of this - right now I can't select a light and tell it to exclude another one from occlusion, but once it's not a light but a piece of geo - it might be possible. Guys?

Ok guys, we've added a new flag Unseen By Shadow Rays (on by default) that removes the lights occlusion during diffuse ray computation.

Thank you very much, I think that solves this problem perfectly!
Is that going to be hotfix or do we have to wait until first SP1? I assume SP1 is not going out as easily as hotfix, that's why I ask ;)

Anyway, this big problem will be solved sooner or later, now it is now only matter of time, no need to worry anymore :)

Thank you!

OK, thank you! I didn't expect any ETA, just will it be hotfix or SP but I know you do your best so the method does not matter

Well, as it was impossible to make lights that would not cast shadows i.e. it made many earlier scenes incompatible and it was impossible to make any effect lights so it was a bug in users point of view ;) But now everything works so I just wanted to mark this 'solved' if someone comes here now or later :)
The lights now work extremely well and the new spotlight is really great, also now lights inside glass behave naturally!
Of course it will be heaven when the new light system comes but until then, lights are very easy to use and no tricks are needed to make them natural :)

So, thank you very much!
