Clarisse 4.0SP2b GTX 1080 - Do not see GPU in 3d view

Unread postby KsVeRa7310 » Sun May 26, 2019 4:26 pm

I see only CPU in 3d view and not GPU. I have GTX 1080 dual cards. Also I have latest Nvidia driver 430.64.

Does GTX 1080 is compatible for GPU or needs only RTX cards.

Hello,

If you have more than 1 card you need to disable one.

Thank you,

Yes, I have two cards in my workstation. Disabling means remove it physically ?

Instead of disabling one card is there no option setting in Clarisse which card software should use ? None of my other software ever had issues with two cards.

Thank you.

If you are on windows you can disable one thanks to the device manager. Go to start menu, hit type Device Manager, go to the device manager then click on display adaptors and disable one of your card.

Better handling of multi GPU will come in the next releases.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

I think it would be more convenient to just set it up in Nvidia's control panel - this way you force Clarisse to use one GPU but other apps can still utilize all the powah (the method mentioned above completly disables one of the GPUs)

Cheers
