Copy and paste from Material Editor

Hi.

I tried to copy some utilities from a previous textured object but somehow the copy elements get deleted from the source. How I can share easily already textured nodes when I am making new materials?

Cheers!

Hi,

Can you explain more in detail what's going on with the copy/paste please ? What kind of objects do you want to C/P? It seems to be a bug.

Thank you

Sorry. The issue is when I am in the Material editor and I delete a texture file it also gets deleted from Browser, so if I duplicate a material to add other textures files, the textures files I not using, stay in the material editor and it's confusing if I delete them because they get removed also from the software. I can create a new material but still, it is strange.

In Clarisse, Textures are not created inside the material like all other packages. Materials and textures can be shared globally.
Have a look at this video https://www.isotropix.com/learn/tutoria ... and-tricks

Hi guys, the above link doesn't actually solve the question.
I'm new to clarisse (but not new to 3D software) and have the same issue.
There is clearly a unique way of working in clarisse that isn't explained anywhere.

I copy and paste a material context (so now there are 2 context folders in the browser matA & matB), I then go into matB context and rename the pasted material. I then open the material editor and start removing, replacing, deleting nodes, and they also get removed from the original matA context location.

What is the correct procedure to fully copy and paste a material context within clarisse and have it fully unique?

Clarisse materials and textures are global items in the project so they can be shared etc... Contexts are just "folders" on which you organize items in them.

There are many ways to achieve what you want. One way is to bring your material in the Material Editor. Double-click on the material (to select all the nodes connected to it) and copy and paste it in a new context.

You can select the material and go to Edit > Select > Select Inputs Recursively (to select all the inputs and their connections).

Hey, I cant reproduce this behavior you describe.

Could you share a video of the issue? Or share a small scene with extra detailed steps?
