Saving images with overscan

Hi there,

I'm having issues rendering images with the overscan setting.

My settings are: Resolution >1920*800 px, Resolution Multiplier >200%, Overscan Margin Mode > Ratio (10%,62%,10%,62%). I'm setting this in the Image attributes, which has 3 layers. These layers, in the overscan settings are flagged to "Use Image Margin". Each layers output an exr 16 bit file.

In the Image view i see the overscan correctly, but when I render from the render manager the image is, correctly, twice the resolution, but without the extra pixels from the overscan.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, can someone please point me in the right direction?

I'm using Clarisse 4.0 sp3 on Windows 10.

Thanks a lot!

Alessio

Nevermind, I was saving just the layers, and not also the whole image. So if I set an output path for the image itself, the layers are able to inherit the image overscan settings, if not, it is ignored.

Problem solved, thanks anyway.

Cheers,

Alessio

Hi,

It's really strange. I just made a test and without writing the image the layers inherit the margin settings when rendering through the render manager.

Anyway, if it works for you that's good.

Cheers ;)
