The Issue with Opacity Map and LPE Settings

Hello.

We are currently trying to render objects with opacity maps applied to it. The image layer has LPE channel settings. However, it seems like the opacity map is not working properly.

Here are some rendered images to help to explain the issue.

LPE beauty channel


Here's an LPE beauty channel render. Opacity maps are working properly here.
Here's an exact LPE expression that has been used for the channel:

LPE diffuse channel


Specular Reflection channel and diffuse channel, however, show black lines around the edge of clothes which indicates that the opacity map is not working.
Here are exact LPE expressions that have been used for the channel:

specular reflection

C<((RG)|(RS))>.*<L.'moon'>


diffuse
Code: Select all
CD.*<L.'moon'>



Using clip_map instead of opacity map eliminates the issue, but it is not an option since the quality of detail for torn clothes using clip maps are worse than those which use opacity maps.

Have you guys ever encountered such an issue? Maybe it has something to do with our LPE expressions?

Any suggestions or tips would be appreciated.

Hi,

You have to add s* from a straight event (like opacity) after the C of your expressions ;)

Example:

Cs*D.*<L.'moon'>
