Dirt procedural texture

Unread postby Kargall » Sun Dec 29, 2019 7:04 pm

Hello,
I would like to know what is the method for making a worn and damaged texture in sharp corners?
I tested with the ambient occlusion or the material curvature, but the result is not convincing.
I can not, for example, put reflection just in the corners.
Is there a tutorial on this?
Merci .
Happy Holidays !

Hi,

Here is an example of how to use curvature. Set to "color coded", the node outputs concave areas as red and convex areas as green. You can isolate those colors with a reorder node in order to create a mask to drive a blend node. In the example, the blend node controls any material inputs.
