How do I import OBJ files with textured material?

I saw it somewhere , one of the videos, but it was a demonstration one.
The mesh was imported with it's material library( if I ain't wrong)all textured.
For my GI interior scene this would be awesome, I am importing from 3ds Max ,
and I am assigning mat export at the obj export parameters, but materials and textures are not there.
Please help or just send me any tutorial link , I may have missed.
Also the objects in my file have similar names , and I can't find a way to select them directly from the 3d View.
I am getting slowly familiar with Clarisse,it is awesome it is almost too good to believe.
I am using the PLE.

Hi,

I don't know for Max but I will give you an example with Maya. When you export an obj from Maya, it creates a .mtl that defines common input like color, bump etc... So in the folder where you exported the .obj there is the .mtl. Textures have to be in the same folder.

In Clarisse, when you import a .obj a windows ask you if you want to import the material. Click "Yes". Clarisse reads the .mtl and creates a standard material, imports the textures and connects them to the corresponding input when possible. But that's not reliable. Sometimes texture links are missing.
