Motion Blur for VDB

Unread postby jessvfx » Wed Jul 08, 2020 6:44 am

Hi,

I have a fire vdb file exported from houdini with all the attributes including velocity. I am loving the result of the render in Clarisse so far. However, when I tried to render it with motion blur on it doesn't seem to affect the fire. Am I missing something ? Is there a certain step that I need to do to the velocity attribute for it to have motion blur ?
Thanks a lot :)

Hi there,

Well that's a very old post and it's been a while since Clarisse support motion blur on VDB. There are multiple ways to export motion blur vel property to VDB. There's a attribute called Velocity Property that you should set, also make sure to set Grid Mode accordingly to the way you've exported properties (either a vector or a set of scalar components describing the vector)
