Volume shader Physicist keeps Albedo from Artistic

Unread postby Karen_Jonhson » Wed Jul 08, 2020 1:32 pm

Bring in a vdb, apply a volume shader. Set Optical mode to PHYSICIST.
Optical mode PHYSICIST disables Attenuation and albedo, because they belong in ARTISTIC.
If you switch to artistic and make the albedo red, the vdb turns red. But when you switch back to PHYSICIST it keeps the red and you can't change the color, it's greyed, you need to go back to artistic, but wait I want physicist.
I'm confused, why is physicist taking it's albedo from artistic while not supporting it?

Values are translated from one mode to another. Just change the physicist value it will change the greyed out artistic value... It's easy to notice.
