Building tessellation uv maps of object slowness

Hi. I've noticed Clarisse hanging on "Building tessellation uv maps of object" when trying to import and draw for the first time certain alembic and usd files. What's it doing? Is there any way to avoid that or improve it? Thanks!

Hi,

Your alembics may have the subdivision property "On". So when you import them they get subdivided and so do the UVs. You have to remove that property when exporting the files from your DCC.
