What is the best way to create procedural animated ocean waves displacement/deformation on a Clarisse plane?

Hello Seren, well you said it, Procedural Displacements on a clarisse plane.

This a simple setup but it can get you started to figure out how best to scatter an ocean.

The best oceans will be using multiple maps generated in some ocean simulation and there was a thread talking about these principles here:

Good luck!

Hello Eric,
Yes that's the idea. Put is there any way to generate the height_ocean map procedurally within clarisse as an animated wave?

Thanks

Using animated attributes on OSL noise is probably the best way. With OSL you could also make a shader. I've attached a project with a height map I downloaded. Unless you are dying to do it with noises and such, I feel a height map like this is the best way to go.
