How would I get an object (not scattered) to always face cam

Unread postby bvz » Mon Mar 22, 2021 9:20 pm

I have a plane that I want to always face the camera around its Y axis. Is there a way to do that?

Use the target constraint.

Ah. Spoke too soon.

I cannot seem to have the object only rotate around its Y axis (or world Y) to point at the camera.

Hi,

yes the orient works on all axis.
You can do it with an expression with old fashion trigonometry, but you need to be aware that you will be able to only get the local coordinates of your target with expression.

Thanks. I will explore that.

I think the local coordinates should work fine.
