New Hair Shader looks way to dark

Unread postby tom_tm » Sat May 08, 2021 12:54 am

Hi.
can someone verify, that the new hair shader looks too dark.
I have no chance to achieve bright/white hair.

In the attached picture, primary and secondary albedo are on max white.
Only if you push the brigntess on albedo color > 8, it starts to look bright.

Hi,

since the hair material changed in Clarisse 5 and it is physically accurate, now the main attribute driving the look of your hair is transmission.

In this basic scene, I kept the albedo to his default value and cranked the Transmission albedo closer to 1.

Cheers.
