Is there anything that was substantially changed in how Clarisse handles .vdb files since 4 SP14 version?
I have clouds in .vdb format that could be imported in 4 SP14, but when I try to do the same in Clarisse 5 the software returns the following error : IoError: could not get size of file
Importing and re-exporting them from Houdini also does not solve the error.
Just for the record - the same files could not be loaded in Vray as well. I remember when 4 SP14 imported them without any issues, we were quite happy and thought how good the software was vis-a-vis Vray. But, our happiness was unfortunately short-lived.

Clarisse 5 is VFX Platform CY2020 compliant whereas Clarisse 4 was CY2018. OpenVDB version bumped from 5.x to 7.x. I guess that's where the problem lies. The newer version doesn't seem to be able to load old files. This is odd. Which version of Houdini are you using? If it's from 2020 it should use the same version.

Thanks for the answer. Now I see we must have done something wrong the first time during export from Houdini.
I tried it again and Clarisse 5 loads them just fine, but only after re-exporting them from Houdini.

PS - I just looked into the issue and I realized it was not the files per se that was causing the issue, but rather the location of the files on the hard drive. It seems there is a limit on how many characters a file path can have (that I was not aware of).
The same files on a different (and shorter) location are loaded without any error.
But, the confusing part was that the same long file path was accepted in Clarisse 4.
