Re,

So, i work with a other Philosophy Work Flow. Now, with houdini a export differently map and i glue the map with my materiel.

But, I can not make a separation by noise between the 2. To make it more realistic than a blur cut

Hi,

For your first post, I think the definition of your map was too low, causing some stepping. But You already figure out a better workflow and solve this problem :)

As for your second post do you want to achieve something like this ?

I saved a project for you to play with. Adjust the gradients and noise to fit your need.

Cheers

That's it today. It's great, I'll try. But I have a new problem. I am thinking of making a topic. Basically my UVs are stretched on the z axis thus creating a deformation. I try to find solutions on houdini or clarisse but nothing ..

I try with diffenrtly projection but is so again bad..

Thank you very much for your asset

Hey, it seems that your issue isn't really Clarisse related anymore. You may want to find resources on UVs, could be general or Houdini specifically, but I would then suggest you to ask on Houdini forums, others will help you better :)

Cheers!

I found a solution by separating the parts with the most angles in refencent with their own uv.

If this workaround is enough for your needs it's ok, but I'll still recommend you to learn more about UVs, because having different UV ratios on a single object is commonly something to avoid, you'll likely have troubles later !

It's a solution because I can't find any other. The idea was to generate a realistic field with the Splatmaps. Problem is that in refecent the uv of my mesh, to have more problem due to the classic projection. So I looked everywhere.

Si tu as une solution. Je fonce direct, même retravailler la philosophie de mon workflow. Peut être que les splatmaps ne sont pas la bonne idée.

I think you can either make proper UVs in Houdini, you have a bunch of node to cut them while avoiding stretching or different ratios; or go procedural like the tutorial you mentioned in your first post, and play with slopes masks, triplanar projections, etc.

You may find additional help and resources on Discord servers, could be the Clarisse one (https://discord.gg/he8QTvD) or other 3D, FX, Houdini servers :)
