Can I add Gradient/ Ramps in Plane Lights?

Unread postby sarahjo » Tue Jul 05, 2022 6:57 pm

Is there a way to add a gradient node (inside Clarisse that I can adjust) or even plug in a gradient jpeg map into the Plane Physical Light? I need to get a fall off effect to the edges of the lights in the reflections and I can't seem to figure out how to accomplish this.

I tried adding a ramp into the Color and even the Contribution slots but my scene just goes black. I cant see the light texture in the viewport either so I don't really know what it is doing.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Of course you can. I don't know what's wrong in your setup. Here is an example with a gradient using Parametric V input mode.

Hi Sam,

Thank you so much for your quick response.

I just looked at your file and gave it another go and it is working no problem. I must have been rushing before. Thanks for your time and thanks for the discord invite link, I will have a look at that!
