Dear Clarisse users,

We're very pleased to release Clarisse iFX 2.0 SP1!
As usual, you can download this release from your “Download Area”.

What's new since Clarisse iFX 2.0

General
  • Fixed a bug that was causing reloading of Shading Layers to not work properly.
  • UV Slots are now properly cleaned on File > New > Scene/Empty and File > Load actions.
  • Fixed a crash that occurred when putting as clip map a texture that is doing raytracing.
  • Fixed many bugs related to renaming internal objects (layers, deformers, filters...) when instantiated.
    Note 1: it is now forbidden to rename internal object instances if their related attribute is not local. For example, layers in an instantiated image cannot be renamed if the "Layers" attribute in the image is not local.
    Note 2: internal object instances are automatically renamed when the source internal object is renamed if the related attribute is not local. For example, when renaming layers of a source image, the layers in the instance image get renamed if the "Layers" attribute is not local.
  • Fixed issue where adding or removing a keyframe on a color-typed attribute in attribute editor was only creating a keyframe for the 'R' channel and not for all RGB(A) channels.

User Interface
  • Fixed a crash that could occur in the Image View when rapidly switching between render region and another tool
  • Fixed a bug in the 3D view where the pointer was disapearing when several mouse buttons were pressing while changing the point of view.
  • Fixed the Browser Picker: the last action is taken when closing the widget with close window button.
  • Fixed selection of current folder when the Clarisse file browser is on folder mode.

Rendering
  • Fixed a crash that could occur with the "Is Facing?" mode of the utility texture node.
  • Fixed a bug in the sampling of lights when rendering volumes in progressive mode in the 3D view.
  • Added transparency for shadows in the standard material.
  • Fixed a bug in camera projections that were taking in account the projection transform of the texture whereas it should not.
  • It is now possible to control the transmittance in the standard material.

CNode/CRender
  • Fixed the refresh of progress when computing an image in the Render Manager (Clarisse Widget) and in CNode/CRender.

OSX
    Clarisse now links on python 2.6 for a greater compatibility (previously it was looking for 2.7). If you have any python error on startup, please make sure that clarisse.env contains the following lines:
    PYTHONHOME=/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6
    PYTHONPATH=/System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib
    It is located in located in: ~/Library/Preferences/Isotropix/Clarisse/clarisse.env
