Terraforming (temp)

Unread postby paq » Mon Dec 03, 2018 6:21 am

Hello,

A little pic done this weekend, it will take a little while to render, I have a lot of emissive geo that takes ages to clean ... can't wait the 4.0
Any tittle suggestion ? (I have no idea of what it is 8-) )

Cheers !

What is emissive in the scene? Other than that, I find volume can often be ran at 15-60% global sample quality as a separate pass, then comped with the geo pass. That way you can also run a deNoiser specifically on the volume pass. Just will require two passes, but in some cases it can be the difference of 15 minutes a frame (passes) or 2+hours a frame for a clean pass.

Thanks guys,

Hi Ambassador,

What is emissive in the scene?

Actually that's a good point , I had emissive geo on the big structures, but the effect was barely visible. So I have removed the "is emitter" attribute for this objects, so I need way less samples to remove the grain. I'm at 4-5 hours on my 6cores cpu, as long as I can render stuffs over the night it's fine for me ;)

Cheers.
