here are som more tests. I'm really liking the results from the new pathtracer, but I still have some learning to do. spp, layered materials, can't get volumes to work, but it's all very exciting!

This is a palm tree from speedtree, with just some changed settings. I'm having trouble with the normal maps, but slowly making progress...

Switched to the composite material. I couldn't get the back color to show through.

Really great work! Do you have flickering issues? What antialias settings and what were the render times like?
