Hey, all these last ones are from here:

http://environment.data.gov.uk/ds/survey/#/survey

processed in QGis if needed. I think these are tiffs, though, so easy peasy!

Can you share some of what you have been working on?

Hi and thank you for sharing that.

After watching your video, I was trying to make the same thing but I didn't know how to add LIDAR Composite Digital Surface Model from UK Survey Open Data in QGIS. Is that a QuickMapServices plugin? I didn't find it in contributed plugins.

I tried to download directly from Survey Open Data site but all datas are .asc files. There are no TIF for displace or RGB for diffuse map.

What is your secret? :)

Thanks for your help!

Hi!

Its been a while since I used it (now I plan to do it again thanks to the inspiration provided by Germán) but, if I recall correctly, try to locate the "Add Raster File" or "Add Raster Layer" command in QGIS. That will allow you to open a DEM Tif or an ASC file and export a Tiff or PNG file.

But, indeed!! a detailed tutorial would be awesome! ;)

Thanks for chiming in David. One really easy way is to just drag your file into the QGis mainwindow!

I'll do a more detaied tutorial as soon as I have some time. Clarisse really shines when using these huge maps/terrains, looking forward to your results!

Right now I am just finishing other stuff (made with Clarisse and for a teaching class) I'll be sharing asap!
After this I want to jump in, reinstall QGIS, and try your work pipe. Thanks!
