nuke like grade node for texture color correction

nuke like grade node for texture color correction

It would be handy to have a uber color correction node similar to nukes "grade". I find the color manipulation currently in clarrise a bit underdeveloped.

I saw this : http://forum.isotropix.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=224&p=633&hilit=color+correction#p633
but I think for simple stuff it would be good to have a shading node

And even the solution with the image-workflow is a bit clumsy. For instant it is unpractical that the controls are hidden and I first have to jump into the filter. Instead they should be for texture manipulation right up front. Currently you have to jump in and out to reach the different filter. And then there are realy basic filters missing. Like Levels. In terms of color correction I don't think its a good IDea to reinvent the wheel (UI wise). Nuke & photoshop nailed, there is nothing that can be done much better. A grade filter(nuke) and a levels&curves(Photoshop) are the basics. Or maybe even a lumetri color style filter.

again I'm not criticizing the possibly of the image workflow unique to clarrise (which is brilliant). My problem is the type and available filters for color-correction. As well as the UI of these filter.

Clarisse have the equivalent to the nuke grade node.. it is just named "rescale" (which reflect better the internal behavior than "Grade"). And you have curves with the remap node (which needs some improvement, but this is planned).

ah, well thats why I could not find it, hehe. thank you

Still, personally I would love to see an uber correct tool. Similar to the attached image. But I would even at to this a temperature control and
the rescale. One could turn on and off certain features if he does not need them

Hi,

There is no gamma control node. However, to control the gamma of a texture you have to use the "power texture node" instead.
