Dear Clarisse users,

We're releasing this new build of Clarisse iFX 1.6 SP3. As always, you can get this build from your download area.

Make sure to download contents as they've been updated.

What's new since build 1.6 SP2

General
  • Texture tree can now be resized in the Material Editor.
  • Ctrl+Shift+G now just creates an empty group and Ctrl+G groups current selection.
  • Fixed a bug when shading layers were created using the right click popup menu (Browser, Image Gallery...).
  • Pasting items that have the same name (coming from several contexts) is now reconnecting the pasted items properly.
  • 3D Clone Stamp tool can now stamp scene items (lights, cameras, locator...) instead of only scene objects. You can also drag and drop scene items in the 3D View and Image View.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when environment variables defined in clarisse.env were empty. This could happen when Python wasn't properly installed.
  • Fixed a bug where 3D Layers were recomputed when unnecessary. For example, when changing 3D Layer visibility.
  • In Scene Objects, attributes "Matte Color" and "Matte Alpha" are now animatable.

Rendering
  • Fixed a sampling bug occurring during global illumination when specifying a high number of samples.
  • Fixed a bug in the area light that wasn't properly occluded during GI gather.
  • Fixed a bug with the Adaptive Span Count on deformed geometries that have motion vectors.
  • Shading Layer is now properly triggering evaluation when a context is renamed.
  • Increased max sampling quality count to 512 (262144 Samples)
  • Fixed a bug that could lead to a deadlock during rendering.
  • Speed up GI computation on certain cases.
  • SSS IOR is now capped to 1.0

3D View
  • Fixed a display update bug occurring on context instance.

LWS/MDD
  • Fixed a bug when Camera Zoom Factor was animated.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when importing a LWS defining unsupported lights.
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when specified filename in the MDD player was invalid.
  • MDD player now supports motion blur. Motion vectors are now properly computed.

Image View
  • Fixed an alignement bug between the image pixels and render region frame / image border.
  • The image was partially drawn with some zoom/pan configurations.
  • The history selection is reset when assigning an image to the ImageView.
  • Fixed zoom glitches.
  • Render region is now invalidated if the whole image is selected or if selection is outside of the image.
  • Fixed OpenGL context issues with multiple ImageViews.
  • Zoom value is now displayed in the top left corner.
  • Fixed bilinear filtering glitchs on image edges
  • Min zoom value now capped.
  • Quality threshold is lowered (full quality is now computed if zoom > 50% instead of 100% previously)
