plasticine doodle

Hi,

Here is a quick doodle I've done to demo a plasticine look in Clarisse. Modeled and painted in Zbrush with polypainting, exported to obj (with embeded polypaint) to be rendered in Clarisse (raw model, no UVs, no displacement..):

That's really cool! What's the setup for the light, is it like a projection image? And what sss settings did you use? :-)

Thanks ! The light setup is very simple : a spot with the color textured by a gradient, set to "Input" mode, with multiple white/grey keys to get the banding effect. The input is controled by a distance to UV texture, set to parametric .. on a spot, it output a circular gradient based on the cone angle. You get much more control with this setup than using projection image (of course you can multiply this with an image, to get even more realistic light pattern).

About the SSS.. it is even more simple.. it is simply set to off :)

"Off", where can I find this setting?

Seriously though, it looked like it had sss, I guess it's the GI bouncing spreading the colors like that. Would be really interesting to see an animation where the light source moves around, if you have the time of course. :)

It would also be interesting to see if you could enhance it any by adding sss.
