objects as lights in clarisse 4.0

Unread postby calincasian » Tue Feb 05, 2019 8:01 pm

Hey there,

I can't seem to find any of the extra parameters for emitters that were present in the Siggraph sneak peak about object lighting in clarisse 4.
Are object lights supported as advertised in the video?

cheers

Hi,
this was already asked here
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5286

And short answer is no.
As Sam explained they need more time to fully implement the new material based light, which will make any object a "mesh" light.
For now we have to wait until it is ready to be released.

Cheers
Kai

Good time !
Sorry if this has already been asked anywhere, the Scattering of standard lights also not working at the moment? I tried to add standart lights to "Scatterer" - and noticed that adding them is still impossible. Or did I miss something?
Thank !
