Tree Noise Help

Unread postby lhsgod » Fri Jul 13, 2018 5:03 am

Good morning

There are a lot of trees to test

It looks very far

So there is noise in leaves smaller than pixels

We are testing the renderer using only the LightPhysicalDistant.

There was no change when we raised the Sample Count value of LightPhysicalDistant.

There was no change in the material smaple count of path_tracer.

Only in path_tracer's Anti Aliasing Sample Count

There was noise improvement in lightpath and diffuse.

So I put up to 512 spp and the render time increased a lot

1. To improve the noise of very small pixels, is there any other option than Anti Aliasing Sample Count?

2. Is there a strong light for noise?

Will LightPhysicalDistant continue testing with this?

3. Environment What is light, environment, ibl?

ps is translator

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

1 - As leaves are very small geometries there are no other ways than AA to remove the noise.
2 - I don't understand the question
3 - Yes, the environment light is like an ibl

Cheers ;)
