Particle Velocity to Gradient, Light or Shader

Unread postby ahirtens » Tue Aug 07, 2018 10:06 pm

Hi, Wondering if you could point us in the right direction for a simple setup to drive a gradient colour shader from the acceleration/velocity of a particle. We are building a vast traffic rig and hoping to drive brake lights in Clarisse. Any help appreciated.

Hi,

Here is an example. I guess the vector to scalar node is missing in your graph.

If you know the max velocity you can add a rescale node before the gradient and set the max velocity in the input max attribute in order to set your gradient between 0 and 1. Easier ;)

Cheers !
