About export/import scatter boundingbox

Unread postby qinyao » Thu Sep 13, 2018 4:37 pm

Hi, deer isotropix team:

I have a question about scatter exporting.

I exported my scatter context to a abc file with bounding boxes. And I imported it to maya, I can see the transform infomations of each instance object group.

But when I import this abc file back to Clarisse, I can't see the values. But every object is on the right position. I wanna know why these infomations are hided.

Anyway, if I lost the original scatter clarisse project but just have the bounding boxes abc file. And I want to replace these bounding boxes back to my asset combiners in Clarisse. How can I do this?

Thank you!

Hi,

The transform values are baked into the matrix of the xform object. To replace the boxes by your assets, just parent your asset to the xform object (don't forget to disable the "Parent in Place" option in the preferences)

Cheers !
