AOV denoiser

Is possible apply optiX denoiser on AOV pass ?
If not, wich the best way to do this ?

Hi,

No it's not possible. To do it, you would need to hack it using CDenoise https://clarissewiki.com/4.0/using-cdenoise.html
Export each AOV as RGBA beauty and run CDenoise on them.

Actually, you shouldn't give the albedo (and you won't be able to use the world normal AOV too). I'm also not sure about the results unless you are doing per light beauty.

IS this a limitation about optiX, or Isotropix can developing this feature ?

Optix denoiser has been designed and trained to denoise beauty. That's why we don't support AOV denoising.

it's definitely not a limitation in Octane where it de-noises several AOVs too.

Octane doesn't use Optix

But Octane uses its own custom AI spectral based denoiser and is not related to Nvidias Optix as far as i know...
